1. Provider and scope
These Terms of Service apply to contracts with Lisa Camilla La Colla, sole proprietor, operating under the business designation Storytelling With Love, Heiligenstadter Strasse 81/87, 1190 Vienna, Austria, email lisa@storytellingwithlove.com, telephone +39 348 112 5893, where these Terms are incorporated into the contract before the order or booking is submitted.
They cover, as applicable, individual creative-writing coaching and mentoring, editorial and rewriting support, online sessions, in-person workshops and literary events, and digital writing resources. A specific offer, booking page, order confirmation or individually agreed term may supplement these Terms. Individual agreements and mandatory consumer rights take precedence.
2. Nature of the services
Storytelling With Love provides creative-writing education, coaching, mentoring, editorial feedback and writing-related resources. Coaching supports the writing process, craft, project development, creative decision-making and working habits. It does not constitute psychotherapy, psychological treatment, medical treatment, legal advice, tax advice or other regulated professional counselling.
Storytelling With Love does not guarantee publication, representation, competition success, financing, production, commercial success or any particular creative outcome. This does not limit responsibility for performing the service as agreed or any statutory warranty, damages or other mandatory rights.
3. Offers and services
The scope, format, dates, duration, deliverables and price of a service are those stated in the relevant offer and booking or order confirmation. The Power Call is an individual one-to-one service. The Re-Write Workshop currently offered by Storytelling With Love is an individual guided rewriting service rather than a group course. A Chapter of My Life is an in-person writing event for the specific date selected at booking. Longer mentoring programmes and future products are governed by the details displayed before purchase when they become available.
Pages marked “details coming soon”, waiting-list pages or purely informational descriptions do not create a binding purchase offer unless a booking or purchase function is expressly made available.
4. Technical steps and conclusion of the contract
The technical booking steps depend on the selected offer. A customer normally selects a service, product, appointment or event date; enters the information requested by the relevant booking or checkout interface; reviews the offer, price and entered information; corrects any errors before final submission; and then activates the final booking or payment function.
For consumer purchases that create a payment obligation, the final function is presented in wording that clearly indicates that submitting the order creates an obligation to pay. The order becomes binding on the customer when that final function is activated. Unless the relevant checkout expressly provides otherwise, the contract is concluded when successful payment and acceptance of the booking or order are confirmed electronically by Storytelling With Love or the booking system used for the offer.
An electronic booking or order acknowledgement is sent without undue delay where required. If payment is shown as successful but no confirmation arrives, please contact lisa@storytellingwithlove.com.
5. Correction of input errors, contract text and contract language
Before final submission, customers can correct information using the controls made available by the booking or checkout interface, including returning to earlier steps where the interface permits. If an error is discovered after submission, please contact Storytelling With Love promptly.
Contract-related information, booking and transaction records are stored to the extent necessary for contract performance, customer service, accounting, legal compliance and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. A customer account containing the complete contract text is not promised unless the relevant platform expressly offers one. Customers should retain the order confirmation, these Terms and the Withdrawal Information for their records; the legal pages can also be saved or printed from the website.
The contract language is English unless another contract language is expressly offered in the relevant booking flow and confirmed in the order or booking confirmation.
6. Prices, VAT and payment
The total price applicable to the selected offer is shown before the purchase is completed. Where the Austrian small-business VAT exemption under § 6(1) Z 27 UStG applies to the transaction, VAT is not separately charged. If a transaction is subject to a different VAT treatment, the legally applicable tax treatment and total price are shown before the purchase is completed.
Payments are processed through the payment or booking provider shown at checkout, including Stripe where indicated. Where instalments are offered, the number of instalments, individual amount, due dates or billing interval and total price are disclosed before purchase. An instalment plan spreads payment of the purchased service and is not, merely for that reason, a cancellable monthly subscription.
7. Appointment booking and technical requirements
Some individual appointments are scheduled through TidyCal. Online sessions are normally held through Zoom. Customers are responsible for having a reasonably stable internet connection and compatible device, browser, microphone or other basic equipment necessary to participate. A camera is required only where the specific service states that video participation is necessary.
Downloadable PDF resources require ordinary software capable of opening PDF files. Any additional compatibility, functionality, platform-access or technical requirements for a digital product are stated in the relevant offer where material.
A temporary failure of the customer's own internet connection or equipment does not automatically create a refund entitlement. If a technical problem on Storytelling With Love's side prevents the agreed service from being provided, an appropriate replacement appointment, renewed access or other remedy will be offered, without limiting mandatory statutory rights.
8. Rescheduling, missed appointments and event transfers
For the Power Call and individual Re-Write sessions, a request to reschedule must reach lisa@storytellingwithlove.com at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. A replacement appointment will then be agreed with the client, subject to reasonable availability.
If a client does not attend an individual appointment and no timely rescheduling request has been made, there is no automatic voluntary right to a refund or replacement session. Any payment claim, saved-expense deduction, substitute booking or other consequence remains governed by the applicable statutory rules and the circumstances of the case.
For A Chapter of My Life, a customer may request transfer of the booking to the next announced A Chapter of My Life event if the request reaches the same email address at least 14 days before the originally booked event begins. The replacement date must be confirmed by Storytelling With Love. If the next event has not yet been announced, contact us to arrange the transfer. This is a voluntary contractual transfer option and is separate from statutory withdrawal, refund, termination and other mandatory consumer rights.
9. Cancellation or changes by Storytelling With Love
If Storytelling With Love cannot provide an agreed service or event, for example because of illness, an unavoidable technical failure or another circumstance preventing performance, Storytelling With Love may propose a reasonable replacement date or equivalent solution. A customer is not required to accept a substitute where applicable law gives the customer a right to reimbursement, termination or another remedy.
Minor organisational changes that do not materially reduce the agreed service may be made where reasonably necessary. Material changes to dates, scope or essential deliverables require the customer's agreement where required by law.
10. Consumer withdrawal and early performance
Consumers should read the separate Withdrawal Information and Model Withdrawal Form before purchasing. A request to reschedule or transfer a booking is not the same as a declaration of withdrawal. No blanket exclusion of withdrawal for A Chapter of My Life is asserted in these Terms.
Where a consumer asks for a paid service to begin during the statutory withdrawal period, the service begins early only where the legally required request, information and acknowledgements have been obtained. Booking or paying alone does not constitute a waiver of the statutory right of withdrawal.
For eligible contracts concluded through an online interface after 30 September 2026, Storytelling With Love also makes available the statutory online withdrawal function. Information on its use is included in the Withdrawal Information and the relevant online interface.
11. Digital content and digital services
Digital resources may be supplied by download, email, Podia or another delivery method stated in the offer. Statutory consumer warranty rights for digital content and digital services remain unaffected. Where legally required, information about functionality, compatibility, interoperability and any applicable update period is provided before purchase.
Static downloadable resources such as PDFs are provided in the format described in the offer. No ongoing content expansion or software-update service is promised unless expressly stated. This sentence does not exclude or restrict any mandatory statutory obligation to provide updates that may apply to a particular digital service.
Where paid digital content not supplied on a tangible medium is made available before expiry of the withdrawal period, loss of the statutory withdrawal right occurs only if all statutory conditions are satisfied, including the consumer's express prior consent to early performance, acknowledgement of the resulting loss of the withdrawal right and the required contract confirmation. A statement that a product is “digital” is not, by itself, sufficient to remove statutory withdrawal rights.
12. Recordings and online-session materials
Sessions are not recorded by default. If a client wants a recording, the client makes the recording themselves and saves it directly on their own computer, with the participants’ prior agreement. Storytelling With Love does not create, store or send session recordings. Choosing not to record does not affect the client’s right to receive the coaching service.
Session presentations, action plans, worksheets, rewrite decks and similar Storytelling With Love materials are supplied for the client's personal use in connection with the purchased service. The Privacy Policy explains how recordings and client materials are handled. Client materials are kept on Lisa’s computer for six months after the engagement ends and then deleted; records required by law or necessary for specific legal claims are handled separately and limited to what is necessary.
13. Intellectual property and client manuscripts
Clients retain copyright and other rights in their own manuscripts, drafts, ideas and pre-existing materials. No transfer of ownership in a client's manuscript is required for coaching or editorial work.
Storytelling With Love retains copyright and other applicable rights in its pre-existing teaching materials, templates, presentations, exercises, worksheets, recordings, course materials and digital resources. Unless an offer or separate licence states otherwise, these materials are licensed to the customer for personal, non-commercial use. Reproduction, resale, publication, public distribution or making the materials available to third parties is not permitted except where allowed by mandatory law or with prior permission.
If a participant voluntarily submits a piece for possible publication by Storytelling With Love, publication takes place only on the basis of a separate agreement or permission. Copyright does not transfer merely because a text is submitted for consideration.
14. Confidentiality and use of AI tools
Storytelling With Love treats client manuscripts and non-public creative materials as confidential within ordinary business operations and discloses them only where necessary to provide the service, where the client has agreed, or where disclosure is required by law.
Client manuscripts and client information are not submitted to AI tools, including for analysis, rewriting or training, as part of the Storytelling With Love service.
15. Warranty, complaints and liability
Mandatory statutory warranty rights remain unaffected. This includes statutory warranty rights applicable to digital content and digital services under Austrian consumer law where applicable.
Complaints should be sent to lisa@storytellingwithlove.com with enough information to identify the booking or purchase and describe the issue. Storytelling With Love will seek to address the complaint within a reasonable time.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be prohibited by law, including liability for intentional conduct, gross negligence where limitation is not permitted, personal injury, or mandatory consumer claims.
16. Data protection
Personal data are processed as described in the Privacy Policy. The privacy information is provided for transparency and is not treated as a contractual consent document. Where consent is legally required for a specific processing activity, it is requested separately.
17. Applicable law and consumer protection
Austrian law applies to the contractual relationship. For consumers, this choice of law does not deprive the consumer of mandatory protections that apply under the law of the country of the consumer's habitual residence where those protections cannot lawfully be excluded by agreement. Mandatory statutory rules on jurisdiction remain unaffected.
18. Out-of-court dispute resolution
Storytelling With Love is neither willing nor obliged to participate in proceedings before a consumer arbitration body unless participation is required by applicable law. Information duties arising in relation to a specific unresolved consumer dispute under the Austrian Alternative Dispute Resolution Act remain unaffected.
19. Changes to these Terms
The version of these Terms incorporated into a contract at the time of purchase governs that contract, unless a later change is expressly agreed or is required by mandatory law. Updates published on the website do not retrospectively alter existing bookings merely because the website text has changed.
